Description
GELDA is a bird bath designed to be easily inserted into flower beds as a stand-alone piece or as one of a group. Made from reclaimed copper boiler bottoms they make the perfect vessel to capture rain water and provide your wild birds with a wonderful watering hole. The steel stems can be stuck in the ground at whatever height works for you and suits the habitat surrounding it. Try placing more than one in a bed for a stunning visual effect.
All our bird baths come oiled and finished and you can choose to continue to oil them so the steel stays sleek and black and the copper retains its incredible reddish colour and smooth finish. Or you can leave them to weather naturally and for the steel to develop the familiar burnt orange coloured rust and for the copper to develop a grey green verdigris.
For the baths themselves we like to use to use reclaimed copper bottoms of discarded boilers but if this isn’t possible then a copper sheet is hand beaten to form the perfect dish. They are made from copper and steel at a local ironmonger
